Six Best Features Of The Motorola Cliq XT

With T-Mobile’s recent decision to carry the Motorola Cliq XT. We thought it would be a good idea to check out the main features of the phone. Here’s a quick rundown of what we thought its best attributes are:

1) Screen - This is the biggest change to the device. Where the original Cliq had a slider QWERTY keyboard, the XT has a fairly responsive capacitive touch screen display with built-in keyboard entry. The 3.1 inch screen has a resolution of 320 x480 pixels which is a standard, but decent size.

2) Structure - The feel of the phone is great. A special texturing around the phone helps to keep a good grip on it when in use. It’s small enough to fit in your pants or your purse as well. You won’t find any of the outer ports or buttons placed in random positions. The power/lock button is near the top, along with the headphone output. Near the bottom left is the micro USB port to charge and connect to a computer. There is a nifty 2-stage camera. It first auto-focuses the lens and then allows you to take the picture.

3) Functions - Near the bottom of the phone is a small trackpad with 2 buttons on either size (four total). The trackpad is just as responsive as the touch screen and the four buttons follow the design of the outer shell, having their own texture to make them easily accessible.

4) Sound - The clarity of the conversation is excellent, just as you would expect from a Motorola device.

5) Battery - As with any touch screen, multi-function device the battery will need charging every 24 hours. It does hold a charge longer than its predecessor however.

6) Reception - The XT has excellent signal strength with good internet speed and Wifi capabilities.

In conclusion, although an upgrade release of the XT may anger some early owners of the original Cliq, the upgrades were good enough to warrant this release.
